Magnetic memory chip

Interesting little news item caught my eye this morning...

Magnetic Memory Chip unveiled

Radically new...
"This is the most significant memory introduction in this decade." Said Will Strauss, and analyst with research firm Forward Concepts.

It sounds like these chips are just starting to enter the marketplace today, so look to the future to see what they may bring. What I get out of this, is basically a chip that will either work in tandem to todays memory chips, or possibly take on a new roll in electronics (mostly computers) that will allow a person to turn on their computer and have ZERO "boot up" time. Pretty cool.
Read the small story here on the BBC website.

[In Homer Simpson voice, drooling] Mmmmm, no boot up time . . .
